Jay sets off and I watch the trees disappear out of the windows. It's only when I take in the acres and acres of wilderness below that I realise just how far out our little lodge is. He concentrates the entire flight and I take everything in. I've still got this little voice in my head that tells me something is up. Something is amiss back home, and call me crazy but I need to investigate.

Crazy enough to make my husband fly us out to the nearest town just for cell coverage. The flight takes around half an hour, but in comparison to the time it would take to drive its nothing.

As we descend, getting closer and closer to the heliport I see the small town below. It's teeny tiny compared to flying into Australia. It's rocky, mazes of bending roads, like the ones you see on car adverts. Clusters of buildings and greenery. It looks small and quaint. Homely and comfortable.

We both are aware that we will not be permanently living in our new lodge, even though we would both like too. We have cherry tree house, back in the states, which is prepped for the baby. But dreaming about this time never ending is a personal favourite past time for us.
The wilderness, the exclusivity of it and the solitude are pretty strong attributes that the lodge presents us.

Eventually we head into the town; it reminds me of a Wild West movie. Full of little shops and bars, I half expect tumbleweed to roll through the streets. It is cultured. The backdrop of the huge mountains is its main selling point. Everybody is friendly and nobody is in a rush. It's a slower pace of life.
