"It's okay, I'm here" I'm telling ross, stroking his hair back. He was so calm yesterday, the medication is wearing off and it's left him in a state of despair. Worrying about his legs, suffering from flashbacks of the accident and feeling the pain.

"You're all good to be moved over to your private room. Your mother has paid extra for a private suite. There you will still be monitored, and provided with pain relief. Physio will be an option going forward, you may find daily activities hard. Don't push yourself, any help with stuff like getting dressed and support with walking, we're not expecting you to get up and go straight away. Remember your ribs, legs and arms need time to heal. I wipe my eyes and grab for my phone, pulling up my messages and sending one to Jay. I explain how Ross is being moved from ICU and that things are looking better. I tell him how much I miss him and love him. I sign it off with kisses and my name.
