Jay orders two bottles of champagne, namely dom perignon, at the big eight and the barman genuinely leans in to ask him if he's sure. Jay smirks slightly and nods. An older barman who is used to being asked for a couple of Guinness' and a glass of wine, watches unbelieving as Jay pays for two three hundred dollar bottles of champagne. He's stumped when the card goes through and he extricates two buckets of ice and several champagne flute glasses.

It must have been around his neck just like a scarf, it hides his features and makes me sure that his intentions are absolutely vile.

The cops arrive at the scene and the young man is taken into the police car. They collect statements from me at the scene, and from both Jay and Matthew. I reinforce that the young man had been with a group of other men and the police officer nods to me. He's an older man, perhaps he has daughters I think to myself as he watches me with sympathy.

I glance over his shoulder and realise that there are a whole bunch of spectators, calling the cops in a small town is a big deal it seems and a rare occurrence.

As the police car speeds off in the snow, Jay wraps me into his blazer placing it over the top of Matthew's leather jacket. They guide me back into the big eight, where the lights have dimmed and the music is on.

Rhea begins talking with Jay and Ross sits down next to me replacing her. Gazing at me worried he explains that he is very sorry he didn't follow me outside. I reassure him and declare that he must dance with me in order to make amends. He laughs slightly before taking my hands in his own.

The dance floor of course, is heaving, Ross pulls his arms around me and holds onto me as we filter through the other patrons. The clientele changes in the bar the later it gets, the older members tend to leave and the university students file in to take their place. I'm sure that I get a little bit too close to Ross. From the way his eyes are watching me I know that he wants me, he bites his lip and I smile. Other people push into us and I find myself practically pressed up against him.

Looking down as I place my phone back into my purse, I notice two hands settled on my hip bones. Keenly aware of a man grinding against me, I turn slowly expecting that Ross or who knows Matthew has upped his game.
