Opening my eyes, I pull at the drip in my arm wincing from the pain and the heaviness of my arms.

“Taylor” Matthew’s voice enters my consciousness, I pull my eyes open and see his concerned expression. The tiredness evident all over his face. The brightness of the hospital lights hurting my eyes, I close them again.

“What happened” I say as he watches me, craning my neck to look around the room. A double en-suite room in the hospital, flatscreen and sofas with a view over the city, Gilbert Scott in the bed next to mine. Flowers on the side and two bowls of fruit. Fresh towels and a coffee machine on a large coffee table. Fancy is my only thought.

Closing my eyes I briefly remember the spinning, how the bathroom was moving before my very eyes. My inhibitions completely gone, losing control over my body, it all adds up.

“Are you saying we could be” I say to him as he stands up from my bedside. He kisses my lips softly and I gingerly wrap my arms around him tears pricking at my eyes. It’s possible that we could have conceived considering our sex life and the serious lack of protection.

As I pull Matthew into my chest I remember Gilbert Scott kissing me in Ryan’s bathroom last night. I have betrayed our relationship and it is unforgivable. Truly this is something that I should tell Matthew, it would be the correct and honourable thing to do. Right now though lying in a hospital bed, like a coward I refuse to bring it up. There will be a right moment to disclose the details of my treachery, however after discussing that I may be pregnant with Matthew’s child, I decide this is not the right time.

“Jay” I sigh as his lips connect with my own, seizing this moment. Opening my eyes, I watch him deliberate what he’s going to do with me next. I decide to take charge pulling his lips back into my own, kissing him possessively. He gasps throwing his arms around me, lifting up my leg and holding my entire weight up as he presses me against the wall. I sigh and moan as he possesses me; not needing to be asked twice.

Opening my eyes in the hospital with his name on my lips, I stroke my hair back and sigh, wondering when the dreams will end so that I can move on with my normal life.

“Taylor” he whispers over to me and I turn to face his hospital bed. The heater on full blast, making our hospital suite feel more like a sauna, Matthew had explained before he left earlier that Jay had paid for private healthcare, so this suite is both exceptionally clean and includes the best amenities. The large flatscreen is off at the moment as it’s most likely the middle of the night.

Hearing the storm bash against the sash windows I watch him closely in the glow of the moon. Dressed in an Armani t-shirt, with Calvin Klein joggers he paces over to me.

“Tender yet better” I tell him flustered suddenly panicking about being physically close to him, I have no control over how I feel, being close to him stirs up a whole host of emotions for me.
