The afterglow of sex has never felt this way to me before; like I've bonded with my partner. Like the dopamine has set me in motion to wrap my arms around her and never let her go. Breathing deep I feel her small body pressed against mine, as I brush her back with my fingertips and simply rest, contented and in awe of her.

As she moves to rest beside me, my hands trace her hips and she pushes her hair out of the way and regards me steadily. Gazing into her eyes, I am sure that she is the love of my life. And undeniably that is insane, having only been with her for merely days. I've known this woman for years, I've sought after her for years and yet I've never recognised her in this way before. We had been kissing before we were officially an item and yet nothing could have felt like that.

Stroking her face with my fingertips, her lips and her smooth skin. Truly when I first met Taylor I had been a different man in comparison to the man she has helped me to become. She saw me, time and time again. I didn't deserve her time or her friendship yet she stuck with me. I gaze into her eyes, reminding myself of the girl I saw when I first met her. The girl who challenged me, the undeniably wonderful looking one who I could not conduct myself properly around; her smart mouth, the fact that she wouldn't let me be the dickhead version of me around her. No doubt I was attracted to her, but I was also moved by her. She set a whole multitude of events into place and my life was altered by her.

"Taylor, I'm just currently trying not to scare you off" I chuckle, feeling nervous that she will uncover my secrets. That she will realise how much I'm in love with her, and that it will have her running. When you have something to lose, that is when you begin to worry.

"What do you feel different about me now?" She asks stroking my back and her hands feel like home.
I thought I loved her before, I thought I knew how much I loved her but now, I'm completely drowning in that feeling.

"Taylor, I've never felt that way during" I begin trying to not be so crass. She winces unsure of whether I am alluding to it being good or bad. I practically face palm myself before I continue, carefully choosing my words.

"I mean that I think you're the love of my life" I say slowly giving her a bit of time to process my words, I shock myself continually around Taylor. I've never been one to make grande statements or to declare undying love. Yet with her, she does illicit a certain charm from me.

"Jay, I'm falling hard for you. I have this altogether new feeing of not ever wanting to be without you" she says softly as I sigh relieved. We spend at least twenty minutes just kissing in bed. I've never been this close to any person. Usually I have sex with girls and then we ignore each other. And that's not their fault, I was definitely always the problem.

"Turn around" I whisper to her softly in her ear, she giggles before proceeding to turn around and face the window. I wrap my arms around her waist. Kissing her neck and caressing her from behind.

"The moon, and how it reflects on the water. It looks dark and inky because there's only moonlight" she says softly as I stroke her waist and arms, longing to hear her voice.

"In the morning it will all look different, the way the light reflects on the water. I used to watch it when I was young. Sometimes my mum would come in at 2 in the morning just knowing I would be watching out my window. She loves nature, even though she has a corporate job she loves being here. She used to tell me she wished she could be my mum all the time and live here with me instead of having a job" I tell her wondering why I'm telling her so much about myself and my life.

"Me too I was planning on it" I explain, a grin on my face as I come up with ideas in my head that will keep her around me. Losing her is not an option. Realising that it's Saturday tomorrow, perhaps I can convince her to stay for the weekend.

Taylor rests in my arms and I wait to hear her breathing deepen before I check the security downstairs, I lock everything up and make sure that the appliances are all turned off. Pacing back up the marble steps and slipping inside of my room, briefly eyeing her body as she lays sprawled out in my silk sheets without any clothes on. Tendrils of brunette curls falling down her back, her lips pursed into a small peaceful smile. I pull off my clothes again and slide in next for the girl of my dreams. Content that finally I get to wake up next to her, that I get to prove everybody wrong. And that with every opportunity I can find, I get to make her smile.
