Having spent most of our morning wrapped around each other on the sofa, gazing out at the water, giggling and chatting as his fingers trailed sensual patterns over my skin. We finally dressed again and I watch my step as we walk over the wooden pier up to the boat house. My boots just clinking on the deck as the sun brings out my tan.

Jay helps me onto the boat and follows on after me. When he starts it up, a wry smile spreads across his lips hearing his speed boat lull ready to go. To take us back to reality, I smile watching him. Reflecting on the sheer amount that has changed since we first got in this boat together just days ago. As I wrap my arms around him I feel like holding onto him and never letting him go, surely this is not healthy. This kind of obsession after just days of being together.

Both of us have said some pretty serious things to one another, trying out each other’s surnames as if we are married and making each other all sorts of promises. It is unnerving, part of me is holding onto my normal sense of independence but the majority of me is clinging onto the person I am becoming with him. The person that yearns for his physical contact and his affection.

As the water parts and we find ourselves in the middle of the water, he relaxes and allows the boat to idle along.

We alight the boat at the other side of the lake, I had almost entirely forgotten that he had parked his car this side of the woods. Idly I wonder how many cars he has but decide not to dwell on it. The time is going too fast, Sundays have never been this exciting for me and I don't want to return to normality. He holds my hand through the surrounding forest. We laugh and talk about university and our friend’s reactions to my picture updates on my socials. I haven’t dared checked my phone just in case it’s blown up since.

“Matthew will approach me about it no doubt” he says and I just know that Matthew will either avoid me like the plague or shout at me over it. He will feel betrayed by my actions, that much is true.

Ross my brain chucks at me whilst I'm walking back to my life. It's painful, thinking about him, his soft face and how he will look at me. Ross, my safe haven and best friend and the person that cared for me when I was down. Even with him I couldn't stop thinking about Matty. I couldn't operate normally or like myself again. I glance up at Jay and with him I feel like myself again. Healed and new. I haven't thought about anything but him and us since we came out here. I should always have naturally become this person, with him. This progression is inevitable, I tell myself.

After a few more paces we're at the car, the woodland just opens up to the clearing and there parked in the centre of the lot is his pristine Audi. Undamaged and not stolen. I surmise that this is an area where people don't need to steal other peoples things.

Jay holds the door for me as I climb in, making sure we are belted up before he sets off driving us back to his apartment. Keeping his hand rested on my thigh as he drives, it seems to take less time on the way back and I smile up at him as he parks in his private garage.

Pushing his blonde hair out of his face he gets the doors for me, before we walk into the elevator. As soon as the bell dings for his floor I eye up his penthouse apartment and smirk. Next thing I know we're on his sofa. He stuffed the bags on the floor by the elevator pulled his shirt off and physically carried me to the sofa kissing my lips laughing.

“Shop” he smirks whilst he switches on the tv keeping me close in his lap. Flicking through the clothes online I find a pair of Levi’s, a few skirts and camisoles. Realising that I’ve got my Barbour jacket and boots already here, I browse the lingerie and he smiles down at me. He adds a few of his own suggestions in and I put them in the basket too.

"Me too" I say and he rubs my hips smiling. The flatscreen is on and I can hear the faint sounds of an action movie as I rest the iPad on his chest and browse. His fingertips trace lines up my sides and once I've added everything the delivery says it will arrive in two hours or by five pm whichever’s earliest. I sigh thats beyond my expectations, I don't shop online and it baffles me how much you can get at such short notice.

"I’ve set up my card" he smiles down at me as I gaze out at the setting sun. The views are truly astonishing, being so high up means you can see right out into the distance. Past the buildings and into the hills.

"Now what do you want for dinner" I ask him putting the iPad aside once the order is processing. Jay bites his lip smiling. It dawns on me that I've never actually seen him this happy.

“Taylor you give me everything by being here and existing in my life. However if you would like to cook me some of your delicious food and kiss me all night long then I'm definitely not objecting" he smiles looking into my eyes. Where did this wonderful charming man come from I wonder standing up and taking his hand as I guide him into his kitchen.

“Jay Gilbert Scott you are actually a really loving nice person why did you hide that before. It's like I'm discovering you for the first time." I say brushing his arms before sorting through the cupboards. He hangs in the doorway smiling watching me at home in his place, filling the height of the door frame, the blonde Viking that he is.

“Lamb curry ?" I say turning to see his irresistible grin. He sweeps me up in his arms giggling as he brushes my hair back.
