Taylor Elena Harris came into my life as an enigma. I collected stories about her from others who admired her, others who despised her, some who envied her and from those that loved her. Even when I was not ready to be the person I am for her today I had the sense to make sure I met her. The forethought to understand that this was not a person to merely meet and let go. I stop her and pull her slightly back towards me as I wrap my arms around her waist smiling. I stare into her eyes confidently. Before I used to watch her, avoiding the sparkly eyes that captivate me everytime. But now I look into her eyes, knowing that she is mine. All mine.

I'm booking the tickets tonight, I'm taking her to Australia for two weeks. I need to organise the plane tickets and the ballet tickets. Ella's dad my uncle Thomas, is a fine jeweller and that ball is already set in motion. I've already got her diamond earrings which she's wearing right now, and a diamond necklace which is hanging from her neck. This piece however has to be perfect. Ella looked at me when I told her that I needed uncle Thomas to make me a ring, seeing a different person, a man changed by a woman.

I wordlessly drive down a back road, off of the intersection. A road where trees line the sides of the roads. I can feel her anticipation and need. It's intoxicating. It's heady that I'm the key to her satisfaction. The person that she wants.

I kill the engine and the lights go off. Getting out of the car I walk over to her side and open her door, taking her hand in mine I guide her out of the car and she is at my will. She lays on the back seat and I stand unbelieving that we're about to do this here.
