Sunday morning at the lake house is the most dreamy thing you could ever imagine. The cloud over is thick today as I look out in awe of the lake and how idyllic it looks in the misty rain. It’s the single best Sunday morning I’ve had in a very long time, we spend time hugging in bed, his strong hands occasionally cupping my belly and waist which is new for him. Once we step back into the door of the Lake house I feel at home, as I hang my coat on the peg in the cloakroom and pull off my trainers I tell myself that I live here with him just so that it settles in my mind.

The light of the day disappears as we lounge on the sofas together, watching films. We take it in turns choosing things to watch and he never complains about my choices. Jay lights a fire in the dining room, I take in the high ceilings and the light grey walls. The large oak table that seats twelve. The chandeliers and the candelabras that decorate the rooms, it’s grand in every sense of the word. A plush velvet carpet and a bar.
