Having had the most relaxing bath watching the sun set through the window looking out at the lake in his arms. I've decided, come to a final conclusion on moving in. I thought I had known before but now I'm sure. I look over at him drying himself off and can't imagine spending time with anybody else ever.

I wasn't looking for love, I wasn't looking for him. If I'm honest I was very much trying to not look at him. Telling myself that he wasn't the correct choice for me, yet knowing he was perfect all along.

He's buttoning up his black shirt, making him look like a rockstar in a band.
"Jay" I ask and his head snaps up seeing what I need. His eyes soften and I smile. My Jay.

"Can you get this zip for me" I ask. I'm wearing my maroon dress it's strappy and fitted. Underneath it I've gone for stockings and a suspender belt. I turn around showing him the zip and my exposed back. I can hear his breath hitch, I briefly imagine him inside of me as his soft hands pull my dress aside even though he's supposed to be zipping it up. I am enthralled by him 24/7. Resolutely I decide we can wait till we get home.

"When we get back baby" I smile. I hear the zip going up and yearn for his hands on my skin again. I face him and his eyes travel up my body coming to rest on my face specifically my lips.

We're leaving now and the nerves set in, the only thing that breaks my anxiety is him, he touches me and kisses me all the time. I sit next to him in the car and wipe my red lipstick off of his face, he smirks.

When we arrive I'm shocked by the height of the building, he looks at my face and smiles.

"Honestly the buildings in Dubai are bigger" he says. He laughs again and grasps my hand as we walk over to the elevator. As the doors close I want him. On me and all over me. I sigh watching the light illuminate the floors. He faces me hands on my hips, again.

"I can feel your thoughts" I say.
"We need to stop touching and kissing till we get home" I weakly protest. I want him to touch me and kiss me, no question.
He laughs. His laugh makes me happy, fills me with joy.

"Especially if you do that" he says eyeing my lips. I hadn't realised I had been biting them. When the elevator door pings I yearn for it to shut again so that I can be alone with him.
I force myself to look out and away from him.
So this is a rooftop bar. The walls are all made of windows looking out over the bright lights of the city. The bar itself is positioned in the centre of the room, it is circular and at the moment it is very much full of revellers wanting their next drink. Unlike a pub all of the clientele are business people, doctors, surgeons or for a better word rich people.

A women who I almost mistake as staff approaches us it's only when I see her eyes that I know for certain this is his mum. She pulls him into a hug and I melt as he hugs her back whole heartedly.
"Jay my only baby, I have missed you" she smirks.

I am reminded of when we had been talking about the miscarriage. He shared with me that his mum went through a few whilst he was younger. He had wanted a sibling, but his parents were not able to conceive another child. I bizarrely wonder about us, we've been having unprotected sex a lot. I push that thought away, I've literally not taken one pill and it can take months to clear from your system.

Claire, Jays mum looks at her only son. Taking in the way in which his hand is on my back, supporting me. His eyes glitter, enchanted.
Her eyes then sweep over me. I know I got my look right, a little makeup just to enhance my face and a long sleek dress. She smiles approvingly.

"Lovely to meet you Taylor" she says. We walk over to the bar and stand behind Jays mum who gets served straight away.
"Now let me get you both a drink" she says and orders a bottle of champagne.

"Oh wow that is great" Claire says watching her son. It strikes me that she is in shock, he is acting very mature. She hasn't actually seen her son hold a girls hand or behave in a way that shows love and care towards a girl. I smile and she grins at me pleased.

Claire mentions Jay's father explaining how busy he is and that he's sorry he couldn't see us. I can't help but notice how Jay shrugs it off, yet Claire feels she must deeply defend his dad. I briefly try to imagine what he might look like, and come up blank.

Claire has visited many places, I smile listening avidly to her stories. She strikes me as somebody that has lived her life to the full.

This is totally reasonable and he doesn't begrudge her anything. His eyes soften and they walk to the dance floor. I watch him with his mum, talking and smiling. And it dawns on me, this is an altogether new Jay. The Jay that will do anything for the ones he loves, the one who loves unconditionally.

As they walk back I take in how his arm is around her back supporting her and making sure she is safe and cared for.

As she sits down I stand up and he takes my hand, we have a moment. Our eyes unable to leave each others. It's like being on a drug, the connection that we feel for each other has become tangible and euphoric.

He pauses pulling me in to his chest and swaying with me. His hands playing with my hair. The bar has a live band and they're playing a version of Elvis' I can't help falling in love'. He starts humming along in my ear and I relax completely.

I smile up at him and he pulls me closer. Claire practically explodes with excitement, she looks at him knowing and I question what they're going on about.

Love comes creeping up on you at a time and in a way you hadn't anticipated. If you had to look for it, if you had to search then the chances of it being real are minimal. The essence and magic of love is in how he didn't need me yet now cannot imagine a second without me, the inescapable need we have in ourselves to have each other.
