It's kind of like waking up with a hangover, but without the fond memories of dancing all night long and sipping Prosecco. Only the leftover misery and sadness lingers from being emotional and worried, all night long.

I feel for Henry straight away when I wake up looking through the voiles out at the searing Californian heat. My hands going around bump and stroking, his little kicks, and movements reassuring me instantly.

Glancing over at Jay, I stroke his face and his hair. Moving in closer to his chest I kiss him. And he begins to stir. I take his hands and place them on bump whilst he's still waking up. Henry reacts jabbing away and I smile. Half way through pregnancy I think to myself, looking over at Jay and imagining us in twenty or so weeks changing diapers.

I stand up off of the bed and he follows me into the bathroom. We have a large en suite. The walls are a grey marble, with spotlights which highlight the classic bathtub. He turns the taps on and the water starts flowing into the bath.

Once he's left the bathroom, after holding onto me for a fraction longer than he normally would. I begin to feel better about the whole situation. I plan the bikinis I'm going to take away with me and imagine us in a jacuzzi or strolling through the winding little streets of Italy. I start to think that maybe we could begin to repair this. It is my duty to make this work, to take the little pieces I have shattered inside of him and begin to place them back together. And perhaps I can just build him up again, and give him enough reason to trust me; all over again.
