"Baby" Jay whispers in my ear, his hands are on our bump. I'm tucked into his chest breathing him in, in the parking lot of the hospital. Henry kicking up a storm as he can feel his daddy's hands on him.

It's cooler now, the lot illuminated only by the electric lights. Matty is waiting to take me home, but Jay is leaving for the first time for a few days and I can’t pull away from him. He’s kissing my ear softly and my hands are around his neck pulling him in.

He kisses me again and I deepen the kiss instantly. He chuckles pulls away and then in his expensive suit he bends down and kisses bump. Standing up again he looks at Matthew, who just seems bewildered at how his tough guy friend is acting differently.

I stand back as he unlocks the car, turns back to face me and looks at me smiling from ear to ear. Jay pulls me in for one last kiss before he gets in his car to head to the airport.

Matthew and I climb into his 4x4 and once I’m belted in and his lights are on we begin to drive out of the hospital car park which is a kin to a maze. Jay tailing us from behind.

“I would actually much rather be driving around with you” he says softly. We’re quiet for a minute, my emotions swirling inside of me. I wouldn’t have been able to drive myself home alone, having just left Jay. I put my hand on bump feeling him move. I glance at Matthew slightly teary eyed and he rubs my thigh as consolation.

I glance at him in his leather jacket, brunette hair tousled back and he looks like the older, hotter brother of the guy I used to date years ago. He charmed me, he had me straight away. It’s no wonder she’s head over heels with him. I can imagine him bustling through the hospital those green eyes lost and she found him.

I hold onto his hand on my waist and smile. We never got this when we were pregnant. We were robbed of getting to this stage.

I gaze out of the window recognising the landmarks on our way to cherry tree. The large palms that decorate the side walks. Wondering how it’s possible still to have this depth of feeling for him whilst I’m married to the love of my life. Blaming it on the hormones and the baby talk.

He parks up behind my car and I unclip my belt. He jumps out of the 4x4 and heads over to my side to open my door. Taking my hand as I step out; 4x4s are higher up than Audi saloons and he doesn’t want me to fall over.

We walk over to the large front door and I unlock it, we use both security systems to get into our house. Firstly facial recognition system and then a standard key. It’s fancy. Bigger than the lake house, we even have a security room dedicated to keeping the house and grounds safe. Cameras which record until you manually turn them off by a dead switch. It’s safe; that was our main priority after experiencing the break in at our last home.

I walk in first noticing Matthew’s hand graze my lower back as I climb up the small step into or marble hall. Physical boundaries are going to be difficult, before the wedding Matty and I had been close. Not sneaking around, but our need to hug each other was something we never stopped. Even with Jay present.

He pulls his jacket off and I take in his muscular tanned arms. Wearing a shirt the same green of his eyes I briefly look at his chest, biting my lip. He places his bag on the floor and regards me as I quickly look away from his chest. No ogling your mates Taylor. Plus I have literally just outlined to Jay how paranoid I am about him looking at other women, and yet here I am with my ex gazing at his eyes and chest.
